Son of Cesar Montano Found Dead in QC Home
Christian Angelo Manhilot, the 23-year-old son of actor Cesar Montano, was found dead at his home in Tivoli Royale, Quezon City on Friday, March 26, apparently due to suicide.
Angelo was found by a maid with a gunshot wound in the right temple and a caliber .45 on his mind.
He was declared dead on arrival at the General Malvar Hospital in Commonwealth, Quezon City.
According to the security on duty at the exclusive subdivision where the Montanos live, Angelo entered the subdivision's gates aboard a taxi at almost 3:00 in the morning.
According to speculations, Angelo is having love problems. The security guard who responded to the scene of the accident reported that Angelo reeked of alcohol when he went to check on him.
Cesar Montano's family refused an autopsy and has ask police to stop their investigation because they believed that there was no foul play involved.
Tsk, tsk, tsk. Such a young life and such a waste. Moral of the story: deep depression and alcohol don't mix. And parents, always check up on your children, whether they are 2 or 52.
For what it's worth, let's all pray that the demons hounding Angelo when he lived are no more wherever he is now.
RIP Christian Angelo Manghilot

Leave Kris Aquino Alone!
Kris Aquino's cry fest in last Sunday's (Mar 14) The Buzz was laaame.
The crying started after the airing of Ruffa Gutierrez farewell video. Of course, we all know the whole story about Kris Aquino's tactlessness, Ruffa's abrupt exit from their TV show The Buzz and Anabelle Rama's subsequent verbal diarrhea.
Who believes Anabelle Rama? Who does she influence? The handful of showbiz reporters in her pocket? If you are an intelligent voter, you will not based your vote on an issue as major as the Philippine presidency on a person's incoherent tirade and who keeps a secret voodoo room in her mansion. Bottom line: Did Anabelle Rama or any of her children finished college? I'm not being a snob. I'm just saying.
As for Kris, I was LMAO watching her crying jag. It's mean, I know, but every time she pouts or grimace I imagine her trying to pass has, a very big one, and she's not succeeding.
We've heard and read all there is to hear and read about Kris Aquino and the scandals she got involved with over the years. The Ruffa-Anabelle vs Kris Aquino is just a lint, an insignificant one at that. It doesn't warrant Kris leaving The Buzz for good (and leaving Boy Abunda? OMG)
OMG! Was the crying necessary as well as the threat to take a leave of absence? A fight with Ruffa Gutierrez is nothing. How many scandals and controversies has Kris Aquino got involved in? I would have taken a leave of absence from life if it got out that I had contracted a sexually transmitted disease from a man who is not my husband and who himself is married to someone else.
So suck it up, you attention whore!

Post Pacquiao - Clottey Fight: Poor Arnel Pineda
Arnel Pineda, frontman of legendary American rock bank Journey, just wanted to deliver a heartfelt rendition of the Philippine National Anthem and all he got for his trouble is a threat of lawsuit from the National Historical Institute (NHI) over his incorrect singing of "Lupang Hinirang."
Oh well, on the bright side Arnel joins the growing list of local singers who have been criticized by the NHI because they sung the the national anthem wrong. Arnel actually is in good company considering he joins Martin Nieverra, Christian Bautista (who fucking forgot a few lines of the anthem), Charice Pempengo, Sarah Geronimo, Lani Misalucha, Kayla and more.
The anthem is sung on a two-fourths beat and 100 metronomes and should last 53 seconds. Pineda’s version was 89 seconds long. Fuck that! I enjoyed hearing him sing the national anthem and I felt the pride in his voice while singing it. That's all that matters to me.
It must really be a slow day everyday at NHI. The only time we hear about NHI is when Manny Pacquiao has a fight.
The law that provides in detail how the anthem must be sung and the penalty for singing it too long is dated and basically useless. Being anal about the correct way to sing the anthem doesn't equal patriotism and national pride, I'm just saying.
Good luck to Arnel against the NHI lawsuit. An apology is all it would take, I think, with the promise to sing it correctly next time. But, you know, how can you apologize for singing with your heart out? Many times I think this country and the people running it are focusing too much on the mundane.
I wish some reporter type asked the NHI their comment on the Star Spangled Banner being sung by three Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders in peplum and midrift. Wasn't that fun? Their singing I mean. They were in perfect harmony and pretty to look at.
I almost wish someone here (cough Marlene Aguilar cough) would be brave enough to sing Lupang Hinirang in a deconstructed baro't saya. I'm almost positive all those dinosaurs at NHI will fall down on their collective asses.
