There are speculations that plastic surgeon and the poster child of bad plastic surgery Vicki and youngest son ex-boyfriend Hayden Kho are back in each others arms. They were spotted at the Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton bout in Las Vegas. They even bumped into Rufa Mae Quinto, but dedmahan silang tatlo. Now, they were seen arriving separately at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, but went inside together to catch their flight to Japan.
Do we need confirmation that they are back together? Neither Vicki Belo nor Hayden Kho is talking. The media should leave them be. Cougar and prey are perfect for each other. They both get something from the other, okay? I'll leave it at that. Are you imagining what is sex like between these two? I'm thinking a pillow or a plastic bag comes in handy every time.
Anyway, I hope they finally confirm the status of their relationship so reporters can stop hounding them. I mean who cares if they are f**king again? If they could just drop into obscurity so I don't see their mugs on my TV again, it would mean two less annoying celebrities in showbiz.
American Idol 7 winner David Cook and runner up David Archuleta arrived this afternoon, May 12. They arrived separately at the Ninoy International Airport, with David Cook arriving two hours earlier than David Archuleta.
The singers are here to perform in a concert titled "David Cook & David Archuleta: Live in Manila, on May 16 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. But before the concert, the two Davids will have a press conference on May 14. They are also set to make an appearance on Sis and Eat Bulaga on May 14.
David Cook was one of the more successful products of the American Idol franchise. But not the entire fandom was happy when David Cook over David Archuleta. Watch these bunch of girls get tortured while waiting for Ryan Seacrest announce the winner of American Idol 7 and watch their world come crushing down when David Cook was announced the winner.
Okay, here's the gist. Jennylyn Mercado was a no show at a supposedly live appearance on StarTalk last Saturday, May 9, and on a mini prescon for her birthday concert at the Music Museum on May 14 titled "I am Woman." Jennylyn also failed to attend an earlier press conference for her birthday concert.
Jennylyn told the manager, Becky Aguila, that she will get her camera fixed and then get her hair styled before proceeding to the studio where the interview was to be held. She drove her car alone. Until now neither her manager nor her close relatives know Jennylyn's whereabouts.
I know why Jennylyn is missing. It is because she is a mental illness waiting to happen. Girl was a victim of child abuse and clearly that trauma has fucked up her brain. I'm not armchair psychoanalyzing either. Proof that all is not right up there with Jennylyn. Exhibit A: going from delish Mark Herras to wonky-eyed Patrick Garcia. 'Nuff said.
Giving birth appeared to have made her worse. Exhibit B: Her firm insistence that her child not see the baby daddy. It's not pride; it's mental illness, or the beginning of. Clearly girl can't live without drama in her life. It's like she believes that life is not worth living if it is all quiet and chill in her personal life.
I had a random sighting with this girl when she just won "Starstruck I Ultimate Female Survivor." She's very pretty, but pretty in showbiz can take you up to just a certain point. With that being said, I hope her relatives find her soon. I'm eager to find out what kind of BS she's going to pull out to explain her missing for nearly 24 hours. Geesh, we may have to wait for days if she doesn't turn up soon.
Speaking of mental illness, Snooky Serna is on a warpath with Gina Alajar. It all started when Ms Gina, as a parting shot, told Snooky "Oh huwag mala-late ha?" in front of reporters during a story conference for their indie film. Snooky felt disrespected because all people who heard laughed.
It must really hurt being the punchline to a joke, but just ease the pain with your money. Snooky now runs a few businesses. She now owns a car; not just a car, but a luxury vehicle. She can now also afford to buy branded gowns. Her situation now is so different from a few years ago when she wanted to change her name to Kate. Who could blame her for trying to escape the reality that is her life? She should have been wallowing in money, having worked her butt off since at a very young age. Realizing you're Purita Mirasol is enough to force one into the deep end.
I really have to hand it to Snooky. Really, there is a savvy mind under that mental illness. Land yourself a rich man, and voila! every thing is good and dandy. I hate to say it but money can really make things happen, even cure mental illness.
I wouldn't normally notice a part-time actress/celebrity like Abby Cruz, but it has been bugging me that homegirl has been to practically to every beauty pageant created by man. Girl is a pro in the beauty contest circuit that she has mastered that pageant-ready mug and smile. Let's see. She joined Bb Pilipinas 2007 and won second runner up. She was one of the unlucky "thank you, girls" in Bb Pilipinas 2009. Most recently, she joined the "Century Tuna Superbods 2009." Luz Valdez pa rin, sa awa ng Dios. Awww...
An yeah, she's the girlfriend of host Paolo Bediones. With so many beauty contests that this girl had joined and failed to win, this single fact seems to have become an afterthought.
It escapes me why Abby had to join Bb Pilipinas twice. If you did not win the first, why do you think you would on the second try? Parang visa application yan sa US embassy, eh. Pag nag apply ka ng first time at na-reject, huwag ka mag try ulet unless your circumstances changed, like may namatay kang kamag-anak na napamanahan ka ng lupa at negosyo.
Speaking of beauty pageants, behold this stunning and smart beauty from the Ms Panama 2009 contest. Ms Giosue Cozzarelli gave the most profound answer when asked about her thoughts on one of Confucious' quotes.
Look at her face. She was like "Ohh, I know the answer to this." Hair bleach or hair dye must kill brain cells. Why else would we get pure comedy gold when Confucius and beauty pageant contestants mix together?
Let's be real. Beauty pageants are tits and ass competition. Nothing wrong with that, let's move along to the swimsuit competition.
The secret wedding turned out to be the much-talked about wedding of the year. Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo were able to pull off their wedding last April 28 in a small church in San Juan, Batangas without the entire Philippines knowing. Details of the wedding were hush-hush because the couple wanted their special day to be solemn and attended only by close friends and family.
Okay, I must admit they look so happy together. I hate them. :P
Individually, I am meh about Judy Ann and Ryan Agoncillo. But together, they are one of the few real and reel couples who make me kilig. It was un-"famewhorish" of them to be tight-lipped about their wedding plans, so I though "good for them." Considering that local TV networks try to outbid each other to get the exclusive wedding coverage of celebrities and non-celebrities alike (hello Ina Revilla and whatshisface), what Judy Ann and Ryan accomplished was no mean feat.
But then, I spoke too soon because immediately the following day they are all over my TV explaining why they could not invite all the press, the fans, as well as the employees and executives of Meralco. You made the wedding a secret deliberately, so own it! I don't get the apology simply because, as heartless as it may sound, all those who are not invited are just extras. They will not make your special day more special because the people who matter are in attendance already. Sorry fans, but you have to see the wedding second-hand.
If I were a celebrity, my wedding would be a closed-door affair. Let's face it. There are fans who are ignorante. As soon as they see a celebrity they will start screaming, take photos or videos. We've seen those fans sa lamay ni Fernando Poe, Jr and the wedding of Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion. So, NO! The fans are out. Panoorin nyo na lang sa TV or bili ng magazine para makita ang photos.
The media blitz following the Juday Ann-Ryan wedding included all sorts of interviews with the newly weds. I've watched and heard several of those and all I can say is there is no concept of "TMI" and "none of your business" whatsoever. The couple was asked if something happened during their first night. I was like "ugh! taaaacky!" Who asks that kind of question?! More importantly who gamely answers that kind of question?
There were several wedding receptions where the not-invited can attend. Papa Piolo Pascual was invited to one of receptions. Good for him for not attending because it was probably a meaningless invitation. Like "it's good if you attend. It's also good if you don't. No skin off my nose" kinda thing. In short pakitang tao na invitation. Okay, I'm probably giving too much credit to Papa Piolo in the self-awareness department, but that's how I read the situation.
Papa Piolo can turn the tables on them when it's time for him to get married. In an interview, Papa Piolo said he's not yet getting married because he's still saving money. So until then, we need to have our Congress pass the birth control law, the divorce law and same-sex marriage law.
Comedianne Ai Ai de las Alas revealed that she is currently dating a 25-year-old model from Venezuela named Julio Cabrera. Oy, yummy! Kainis! They were introduced through Bong Quintana, the long-time boyfriend of Ai Ai's manager, Boy Abunda. The two are still in the getting to know stage, meaning they go out on dates with other friends present. Ai Ai clarifies that they are not yet boyfriend-girlfriend.
If you're still looking for reasons why the world is unfair, this is it. Namputcha! Ang haba ng baba mo, Ai Ai! Bongga! I hope this is true and not just a publicity stunt. Remember, Ai Ai is promoting "BFF," her movie with mega star Sharon Cuneta. When Ai Ai was promoting her filmfest movie, "Tanging Ina," she was talking about plans to pursue a political career. I just rolled my eyes because in the movie, Ai Ai ran for President and won. Hay gimik!
Ai Ai is another cougar in the making. I read this blind item about a pop singer who only goes after men younger than she is because she is of the belief young men makes her younger. In other words, nasisipsip niya ang kasariwaan ng mga lalaking mas bata sa kanya. Sorry to the DOMs and men in her age bracket because ang ating pop star ay walang sariwa na maasahan sa kanila.
Martin Nievera is in deep sh*t for singing the Philippine National Anthem "Lupang Hinirang" wrong during the pre-fight ceremony for the Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton bout on May 2. It was the National Historical Institute that started it all when some official from that agency said that Martin's rendition was all kinds of wrong. And now a congressman from Cavite is charging Martin for violating the Flag and Heraldic Code, whatever that is.
The NHI and that lawmaker should just STFU and move along. If were are being strict about it, how about they arrest and jail Filipinos who answer "Bayang Magiliw" when ask what the title of our national anthem is during very tensed situations like the Q&A of Go Bingo. Or Filipinos who don't stop when the national anthem is being sung. Or those in the movie theaters who don't stand up when they hear Lupang Hinirang before the last full show.
Can't we just accept that there was no intention to disrespect the national anthem? Is putting Martin Nievera in jail for singing Lupang Hinirang wrong more important than say, cleaning the water and sewage systems of garbage because typhoon season is upon us?
I'm imagining if Martin does go to jail, he'd definitely be a prison bitch. If I'm not mistaken the pecking order in jail depends on what the type crime you've been convicted. The masters would definitely be those hardcore murderers, drug dealers or kidnappers (but definitely not the rapists or child touchers because they are the default prison bitches, I think). I'm just saying it's hard to establish "prison cred" if the crime that put you in jail is for singing the national anthem wrong.
