Blind Items: Your Guess Is As Good As Mine

My guess: Marjorie Baretto and Rechom Echiverri

Clue: Todo na ‘to. Walang border-border kahit sa South.

My Guess: Rufa Mae Quinto and Duncan Ramos

Rosanna Roces vs Revilla Family: Lesser of Two Evils

Rosanna Roces and Jolo Revilla (of course Bong Revilla has also put in his two cents, are at war again over the custody of Gabriel Revilla, the son of Jolo and Rosanna's daughter Grace Adriano.

I thought Rosanna has permanently faded into obscurity but she's making noises again. Her beef with the Revilla is Jolo's failure to return her grandson, whom she calls Budoy, back to her care at the agreed time.

However, I read that the boy was put into the Revilla's custody because he has primary complex and is on strict medication. The boy's mother is overseas living with her new family, so it was logical to put the boy in the care of the biological father. Rosanna is also busy with her indie films, which she did not fail to promote while making a litany of the Revilla's sins.

Rosanna is waging her war on Facebook. So netizens can easily follow her rants. She posted a photo of her with Gab flipping the bird at the camera. According to Rosanna, the boy learned the gesture from Jolo, who does the same to his father Bong, the honorable senator, everytime he is displeased with his father.

Let’s be real. The initial reaction when seeing a toddler flip the bird is amusement. But it is stupidity to post the evidence online. C’mon, pampamilya na lang di ba? I guess, Rosanna as an ulterior motive behind the posting of the picture. And it has come to fruition because Social Services is closely watching the goings on between the families.

Who should get custody of Gab? Revilla or Rosanna? Eh, it’s like choosing between the lesser of two evis, a rock and a hard place. I can’t stand Bong Revilla on principle. Rosanna Roces, she’s got a few loose screws in her head. Like Anabelle Rama, she’s someone who has mistaken honesty for tactlessness and insensitivity.

There are talks that Rosanna wants Gab with her because she will be missing out on the perks that come with the boy. We are talking about a nanny, driver and personal car for Gab. No Gab, no perks.

Gab should go to the family who can support him financially, emotionally and most importantly mentally. I think he should be adopted by the Brangelina clan. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are always on the look out for their next child to adopt.

Eh, I’m not feeling this latest pettiness between Rosanna and her ex-future in laws.

The Gutierrez Family Defends Their Own

I finally saw a scene that could possibly be an acting piece for Richard Gutierrez. The actor appeared on a taped interview with his lawyer to answer the lawsuit filed against him by Lorayne Prado, the widow of Richard’s PA, Nomar, who was killed in a car accident two months ago.

The Gutierrez family must be feeling insecure about their chances of coming out victorious in this lawsuit because one by one members of the Gutierrez family is coming out to defend their beleaguered family member.

The Gutierrez brought out the bigs guns - and I don’t mean Jun Lalin. Family patriarch Eddie Gutierrez came out briefly from under Anabelle Rama’s skirts to defend his son. Eddie Gutierrez is considered the more respectable member of the family because he doesn’t talk much. He talks only during important events, like when eldest daughter Ruffa Gutierrez came home a battered wife, and now, when Richard Gutierrez, the biggest money earner in the family, is facing a criminal case.

Ruffa Gutierrez and Richard’s twin Raymond used their respective showbiz talk shows as a platform to prop up the innocence and generosity of their brother, and in the same manner discredit the actions and feelings of the widow who is seeking justice.

I thought after the initial salvo from Anabelle Rama, the family decided to lock up their matriarch in her special room with the voodoo dolls to prevent her from spewing more inappropriateness that is bringing the family down, for reals, in the arena of public opinion.

I was wrong. Her interview in a radio program is a classic lesson on not what to say when you badly need public support. There were so many WTF moments as I was listening to Anabelle Rama. Well, if your PR person is Jun Lalin, don’t expect much, okay?

The central theme of the Gutierrez’s defense is their generosity to the Pardo family before, during and after the tragic accident. They kept on harping that the help was not out of obligation because it wasn’t Richard fault that the accident happened.

FYI, Anabelle accidents are unintentional and not premeditated but they are often caused by something or someone. There is no question that Richard did not mean for the accident to happen but he is accountable for being the driver of the car.

If we must play the blame game, who or what could be the culprit, if not Richard? Let’s see. The coconut trees for simply standing there, not getting out of Richard’s way when his car was careening off the road? Could it be the curved road for not being straight so Richard could drive on his merry way without incident? Or Nomar for not wearing a seatbelt in the backseat of the car?

According to Ruffa, her brother was not speeding and was very careful as he drove the car. Take this with a grain of salt because Richard was driving a Nissan GT-R, a car built for speed in a race track. It’s not a station wagon that the family takes on vacations or road trips.

I will assume Richard likes speed. Otherwise, he would go for a van or SUV. So for a speed enthusiast, the need for speed must be very tempting on an open, nearly deserted road considering the time the accident happened.

The family, taking note from the police and onlookers, said that the area is accident prone. There have been seven or so accidents in the same spot. How many vehicles pass through that stretch of road in a given day? Hundreds, thousands? Those seven or so have been careless while the rest respected and followed the road warnings.

By the way, the price of a Nissan GT-R is in the millions so why is the Gutierrez family quibbling over P4 M? It’s a drop in the bucket for them. If they are so really hard up, why don’t Anabelle sell two or three of her diamond jewelries?

I don’t think Richard or any of his family members feels accountable for Nomar’s death. This is the core of the issue of why the Gutierrez cannot simply hand over the money, which is not an unreasonable amount. Richard Gutierrez, according to her nanay, has the highest per episode pay among GMA Network’s stable of stables. Is it so hard to let go of the money that you would earn back in a few days or weeks of work?

The families have reached an impasse so a logical solution is to let the courts decide on whether the family of the deceased is entitled to damages and whether Richard should be jailed for reckless driving. The Pardos are not traitors or mukhang pera for going to court. So many people have sued over the shallowest and most frivolous of reasons. Ehem, Anabelle Rama, ehem.

As Richard was explaining his side during the taped interview in Startalk, I could see the sadness in Richard’s eyes. Or is it fear caused by the unbidden thought that serious jail time is a real possibility in his future?

Richard was explaining that he too felt saddened about Nomar’s death; that it was an accident that nobody wanted to happen. Yeah, it was tragic. Who wants to have another’s life on their conscience? But I could not feel full-on sympathy for Richard simply because his mother’s name is Anabelle Rama. I don’t think I’m alone in feeling this way.

That in itself is tragic - to attract negative vibes and enemies along the way, not because of your own doing and regardless of whatever kindness or generosity you extend to others, but because there are no words bad enough that can describe what your mother is. Tactless and insensitive barely scratch the surface.

Richard’s pretty face is fucked.

Freddie Aguilar is the Epitome of Kindness

After Freddie Aguilar opened his big mouth expressed his opinions about Pinoy artists trying their luck overseas, stor(y)ies about our fount of nationalistic pride have been coming out of the woodwork.

Via Cristy Fermin’s column in Bulgar, a fellow artist revealed that a plan to form a group or foundation to help singers who are sick and broke was outrightly rejected by Freddie Aguilar. He reasoned that such initiative will only give their colleagues more reason to remain lazy.

That’s cold, like freezing cold. If a singer can’t booked a gig because they’re sick, it’s not being lazy. It’s not being able to get up from the bed, literally. I’m just sayin’.

Help should come naturally. If Freddie is not feeling too kind and charitable, then let him be. As we are all fond of saying, “huwag magbigay ng pagkain kung hindi bukal sa kalooban, baka sumakit pa ang tiyan ng pagbibigyan mo.”

Does this group of singers really need Freddie’s participation to get their plan off the ground? Freddie, as we all know, has his own quest – that of spreading Filipino music internationally (who knows maybe inter-galactically?) and changing the last line of the Bayang Magiliw.

If this story is true, people who are relying on the kindness of others now know not to hit Freddie up for anything. You’ve been warned, you lazy freeloaders!

Quote From The Stars

“huwag kang mangarap ng 4M dahil wala kang maaasahan. Tulong ang pinag-usapan dito, hindi kami bumibili ng patay.” Anabelle Rama’s text to Lorayne Pardo, the widow of the PA who was killed in a car accident involving Richard Gutierrez

Richard Gutierrez, fresh from losing a P25 M libel suit he filed against the entertainment news portal PEP, is now the defendant of a criminal case filed by Lorayne Pardo, the widow of Nomar Pardo, Richard’s personal assistant who was the lone fatality in the car accident two months ago in Silang, Cavite.

Richard Gutierrez was the driving that very expensive (as in equivalent to several low-cost housing units) and very fast (as in illegal to drive in the US) that sports car that rammed into a post and coconut trees in the wee hours of the morning in May 2009.

After two months of silene, the widow of Nomar Pardo is speaking up and is suing Richard Gutierrez for Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homicide.

I think it’s good that the widow has finally taken action because the lack of legal ramifications on the part of Richard Gutierrez astounds me. His driver’s license was not even confiscated and he was able to get behind the wheel a mere few weeks after the accident.

If the justice system really works in this country, Richard Gutierrez should face serious jail time. Look at Hulk Hogan’s son, Nick Hogan, who was incarcerated for a few months for leaving his friend a vegetable because of a serious vehicular accident.

Richard Gutierrez’s driver’s license should be suspended as well because he has a history for reckless driving. According to Mrs. Pardo she has been dreaming about her husband and one day she finally went through her dead husband’s wallet. In it she found a receipt for P500 from the Land Transportation under Richard Gutierrez’s name for reckless driving. The receipt was dated Feb 2005.

The dead husband also told the wife that Richard has a habit of driving too fast. Pleas from the PA for Richard to ease off the gas pedal a bit always fall on deaf ears.

Can Anabelle Rama also be jailed for mental instability? Please? She’s a self-confessed churchgoer but she always takes the Lord’s name in vain. She’s always talking about not backing out of a fight because God is with her. Please, Anabelle. God has better things to do than cater to your delusions that you are His only creation.

Anabelle is also not above disrespecting the dead. How come? Anabelle is not paying P4 M to buy a dead person. I’m not even a relation to the dead person, but I wanted to smack her right in the face when I read that.

Raymond Gutierrez, how dare your mother think that P4 M is too much for a dead person, and yet she thinks she is worth P7 in her case against Wilma Galvante and that Richard needed P25 M to repair the alleged damage done to his image by an article about a gun-toting incident uploaded on PEP?

Anabelle is calling the action of Nomar Pardo’s widow as “pagta-traydor and blackmail.” Anyway I see it, Richard is neither the underdog nor the victim.

PacMom: An Homage

Enough of being a jeluz h8r, a lackeye of Deo (whoever he is), according to the fans of the wordlwide phenomena known as Kimerald.

This post is an homage to my personal icon and role model, written with stars blinding my eyes - Mommy Dionisia, the global celebrity known to the world as Da-yo-nee-sha.

Allow me to share the awesomeness that is Mommy Dionisia. This future Ulirang Ina awardee has become famous through her progeny, pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao. But now she is more famous than Manny's wife (I don't think Jinky was ever famous) and is fast attaining the celebrity status of her boxer son.

I think Jinky is the jeluz htr. I read in a tabloid (Bulgar, what else) that Mommy Dionisia sat in economy class while the entire family enjoyed first-class accommodations during a vacation trip abroad. Ever the loving son, Manny told her mom to exchange seats with him. But Mommy Dionisia, ever humble and kind, was okay with the arrangement.

Mommy Dionisia rose to the stratosphere of celebritydom for her marathon prayer sessions, I mean, televised prayer sessions during Manny's fights. Prayer rallies warrant television coverage only if the attendees number to thousands or millions. The exception is our very own prayer warrior. Television stations fight over who will capture that one moment when Mommy Dionisia collapses, which usually occur when Manny's fight end. I think she speaks in tongue, too.

I believe, as do millions, that Mommy Dionisia's prayer sessions are part of the arsenal that makes Manny Pacquiao practically unbeatable. Such is the powers of Mommy Dionesia's prayers that I hope someday it will find the cure for cancer.

Mommy Dionisia is not resting on her laurels as just the mother of a boxing king. She is slowly but surely expanding her brand. Now it's ballroom dancing and commercials. Tomorrow, sitcoms and movies. Who know's there may be dolls, perfumes and line of apparel in Mommy Dionisia's future.

Even Wowowee has capitalized on Mommy Dionisia's fame, hoping to attract more down-on-their luck contestants and more emotionally-manipulated viewers and donors.

Speaking of alalays, I read that Mommy Dionisia has one bodyguard, not to guard her body but her set of diamond jewelries. She has an entourage but they are nearing retirement age? My dream when I grow up is to become a part of Mommy Dionisia's entourage, a personal assistant, if you will.

I have the required skills, if I say so myself. Let's see.

I am fluent in Filipino and English, not Bisaya, I'm afraid, but I am a fast learner. I can teach her how to speak better English and Filipino so that she will no longer be subtitled on every documentary about Manny. See 24/7 HBO documentary.

I can operate a laptop or PC, even a typewriter, if it comes down to it. I'm pretty sure Mommy Dionisia will someday need a person to answer all her fan mails, arrange her hectic schedule and coordinate her activities.

I'm healthy enough when Mommy Dionisia requires a fan girl (tagapaypay) and someone to catch her when she collapses after every marathon prayer sessions. I can hold her rosary and prayer book for her during prayers, and I can also wipe the santos and santos clean during lull in prayer.

I would really like to say I can work for free, but I can't say that with all sincerity. I want to say it's enough to be basked in the glow of Mommy Dionisia and be in her saintly presence daily. But I can't. Not in this economy.

I end this homage with a quote from PacMom herself addressed to all jeluz h8rs out there:

“…naiinggit lang sa akin. Kasi, may ipinakita ako sa lahat ng tao na marunong akong magpakita ng dancing ko...Yung iba, hindi marunong kasi balita lang sa kanila. Iniintriga lang. Gawa-gawa lang ito, kasi sikat na ako! Sana, ipaabot ko lang sa nang-iintriga sa akin, gumawa ka naman ng gawa para sa iyong sarili, para magkasama tayo na mga sikat. Hindi kayo maggawa-gawa ng intriga!"

Tales of Two Fans: Kimerald and Marian Rivera

The entertainment tabloid Bulgar is really a must-read every morning because it is informative. These reactions from Kimerald and Marian Rivera fans continue to prove what I think about some rabid fans.

According to a Kimerald fan, there is a conspiracy to break up the globally famous loveteam of Kim Chui and Gerald Anderson. Apparently, TPTB (the powers that be) at the Kapamilya network is moving heaven and earth to sign up Kim and Gerald in teleseryes, variety shows and movies without the other. ABS-CBN is not aware of it, but the fans are onto them, added the well-meaning fan.

All these maneuverings started after Sarah Geronimo, whom the fan called a starlet, let it known that "gustong matikman [ni Sarah] este makapareha si Gerald." Matikman is the fan's word, not mine.

First of all, I would think that Gerald Anderson would not be the first person or thing that Sarah would want to taste. In Cristy Fermin's column there's this giveaway blind item about a young actress/singer who can't eat ice cream, chocolates and manggang hilaw na sinawsaw sa bagoong.

The young star's mother is to blame for the ban on these foods because the foods are not good for the young singer's voice. The young actress singer is also banned from going to gimmick barkada by her loving mother.

Seems the mother skipped the word "moderation" while browsing the dictionary. She focused instead on the words "investment" "cash cow" and "meal ticket."

Second, if Sarah Geronimo is a starlet, what do you call a young star who has yet to have sold-out concerts, box-office hits, albums selling like hotcakes and the title Box Office Queen? Starletini?

As for the Kimerald fans, they have truly imbibed the true meaning of the word "business sense." Well, the millions and millions of Kimerald fans all over the world are there to support all the endeavors of their well-loved couple. So it follows that un-breaking Kimerald makes business sense.

Okay, enough of Kimerald fans and business sense.

On the second story, which involved a Marian Rivera fan. The fan commented that Kim Chui is baduy, in terms of clothes and accessories. Kim buys hers in Divisoria while Marian's are all branded.

Admittedly, I don't follow Kim Chui but the few times I saw her guest on variety shows I don't find her baduy manamit. Let's admit it. Kim Chui with her super thin body, and if she were a few inches taller, would be the envy of anorexic models prancing along the catwalks of New York and Paris who have to munch on ice cubs for lunch and quiet their hunger pangs with cigarettes to maintain their svelte look.

And what is wrong with clothes and accessories from Divisoria? In this kind of economy? I would like to believe even well-paid actors and actresses are not immune. Someone should tell this fan that he/she just insulted a whole community of Divisoria shoppers.

As for Marian Rivera's all-branded things, she's probably making up for her baduy na pananalita. Admit it, it doesn't go with her Spanish mestiza look. Once you hear Marian talk, you'd wish she had stayed silent. Okay, okay, her speech pattern is the result of her born and raised in Cavite. But why is being a palengkera/palaban something to be proud of if you come from Cavite? I'm just musing. Not being a jeluz h8tr, or anything.

By the way, I don't dislike Marian. I just like Marian and Dingdong.

Kim Chui. Well, I didn't know I was rooting for Mickey Lee in Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition until after Lauren Dyogi started manipulating situations in the "reality show" to push for the what is now known as the "Kimerald" loveteam. I had to quit the show towards the end because it was becoming so goshdarn predictable: a young girl caught in the admiration of two guys - the boy next door and the geek.

Of course, the boy next door won. Only in Judd Apatow movies do geeks kick pretty boys' asses.

Allesandra de Rossi: “Mukhang Katulong”

This is a story I read in my favorite entertainment tabloid, Bulgar.

Alessandra de Rossi probably rued the day she accepted an invitation to grace a major event in Lucena. While on a motorcade, a fan (obviously not of Alessandra) shouted “PANGIT,” referring to one of the stars of the ABS-CBN primetime teleserye Tayong Dalawa.

The fan probably got pissed off because Alessandra was acting like she’s at her tambayan making chika with her other org-mates. The motorcade was moving along quite nicely and Alessandra forgot to wave to the fans to make them feel special.

It’s Alessandra’s fault for not acknowledging the fans. After all, she was invited to add fun and glamor to the event. Alessandra provided the fun (or being the object of being made fun of). However the event coordinator forgot to inform Alessandra to provide glamor by looking it.

Alessandra attended the event with no make-up, not even lipstick, and without combing her hair. Did Alessandra just wake up, dress up (or down) and go to the event? “Mukha siyang katulong” was how Alessandra was described.

I once saw Alessandra de Rossi in Greenhills. Well, there are girls more beautiful than she is but she’s far from plain looking. She’s no outstanding beauty but that could be blamed on the genes her mom and dad gave her. Anyway, beautiful actresses, starlets, celebrities whatever you call them are a dime a dozen. But there are so few talented actresses out there.

Did Toni Gonzaga Snub Pinoy Fans in Los Angeles?

There were online chika that Toni Gonzaga supposedly snubbed Filipino fans in Los Angeles, particularly in Methodist Church and Seafood restaurant. Fans complained Toni Gonzaga was often moody and refused to take off her shades when fans requested to take pictures with her.

This is not the first time I heard this kind of complained against Toni Gonzaga, that when she’s not in the mood, she lets it show. This is good for being true to oneself and to others. However, if you are an monkey in a circus entertainer, that is not a good idea.

In Toni’s defense, maybe she was PMS-ing at that time, that’s why the attitude. Or the fans mistook Toni of not smiling at them because her eyeballs are focused on different directions.

Once, a long time ago, there was this girl I know through work who is visually challenged, let’s just say. For the life of me, I had a hard time figuring out if she’s smiling at me because I don’t know if she’s looking at me. One eye is, but the other one is focused somewhere else. In turn, I can’t decide whether to smile at her because I’m not sure if she’s looking at me. One eye is, but the other one is somewhere else. Finally, somebody said focus on the good eye. That was a useless tip because we were, or I was, laid off not long after. For a while I worried that the nature of our job causes visual impairment because there was another girl who got the same affliction.

Okay, enough true to life stories. If I were a fan who paid to see Toni Gonzaga sing, I’d be pissed too if she’s not enthusiastic during the meet-and-greet with the fans. Bitch, better smile wide and pose with me likes she means it. I don’t care if you’re tired. I’m several hundred dollars/pesos poorer because of you.

According to Cristy Fermin, Toni Gonzaga, to her knowledge, is friendly to the fans and doesn’t have mood swings. Cristy mused that maybe Toni acted nice and friendly in front of her because she knew her attitude will be reported on her column. Gosh, the power of the pen and Cristy’s delusion of power.

Freddie Aguilar Agrees That Filipinos Are Monkeys

Last week, Freddie Aguilar made a last ditch effort to stay relevant. He commented that Pinoy talents who are making waves in the US like Charice Pempengco and Arnel Pineda proved what Mariah Carey said about Filipinos being monkeys. He was referring to Pinoy talents not having their own identities and imitating foreign singers.

Freddie Aguilar was criticized for calling Filipinos monkeys, but he was quick to clarify that it wasn’t him who called Charice monkey, but foreign singers like Mariah Carey.

Semantics, Freddie. I can’t fault Freddie Aguilar for his comments because as I am found of saying, “opinions are like assholes; everybody has one.” Own up to what you said because it amounted to same thing. I also can’t find anything wrong with saying those bitchy comments on the occasion of the opening of your music bar. Free publicity! I think Freddie succeeded because I can’t remember the last time Freddie Aguilar stayed this long in the media spotlight Score one for team Freddie!

Of course, Gary Valenciano and Arnel Pineda have weighed in on Freddie’s high opinions of his talents. Basically, what they said was boring and not worth repeating. “Grow some balls and hurt Freddie’s feelings as well,” is what I would tell them if I see them. But since I’m always in front of the PC, I’ll just type those words here.

But I like the comments made by Gary Valenciano’s son, Gab Valenciano. He said, “may be he’s {Freddie} just jealous.” LOL Typical of his generation. “You’re just jelly cause I’m better than you are..blah, blah.”

Freddie made specific comments about Charice having had the opportunity to sing on Oprah and in a concert with Celine Dion but she still chose to sing Whitney and Celine songs. I’m simple minded but even I know if an artist like Charice is just starting out, she can’t demand what types of songs she sings.

Never mind, Freddie. I’m sure Charice and her stagemother are busy counting their millions and living in style in their dream house in Cavite.

I read that Freddie’s song, “Anak,” which I think is his only claim to fame (I might be wrong, though), has been translated in many languages. Isn’t that done to give a song global appeal? Freddie might say it’s not the same thing. Fine!

By the way, Freddie also proposed changing the last line of our national anthem Bayang Magiliw “Lupang Hinirang.” He wants the ending to be just “…buhay ay langit sa piling mo” and the line “ang mamatay ng dahil sa iyo” be removed and changed to “buhay ay langit sa piling mo.” His reason and I quote “eh di kayo na lang ang mamatay, ako ayaw ko.”

So Freddie, if it involves death, let others do it. Ninoy Aquino is rolling in his grave right now; rolling his eyes and giving you a killing side-eye. Is Freddie sure he’s not after royalties if his lyrics replace the old line of the national anthem?

Let’s bid Freddie good luck on his quest. When pig’s fly. When hell freezes over. Those are likely to happen first before the stalwart sentinels at the National Historic Institute let him mess with our precious Bayang Magiliw. He should have a talk with Martin Nieverra.

Blind Items: Your Guess Is As Good As Mine

Blind item from my favorite entertainment writer, Cristy Fermin, from the tabloid Bulgar.

Clue: napaka kontrobersiyal nya ngayon, wala siyang kasingkontrobersiyal ngayon. Sige, hali-halili nating hulaan kung sino siya.

My guess is Katrina Halili? Currently controversial and the the word "hali-halili" in the article is a dead giveaway.

Kim Chiu vs Angel Locsin: And The Winner Is...No One

Remember Kim Chiu and Angel Locsin being pitted against each for the role as Sharon Cuneta’s daughter in Mano Po 6? It appears to be premature since Sharon Cuneta was just asked who her choice is. Not that her choice is cast in stone.

Kim Chiu was unaware Angel Locsin was chose over her. According to Kim “di ko alam may Mano Po 6 na pala. You and me both, Kim.

Angel Locsin refused the role because she’s tired of waiting line in the bank for Mother Lily’s post-dated checks to clear through. Naaah. Angel said she cannot accept the role even if it is offered to her because she is exclusively tied with Star Cinema. That refusal created a backlash from Mother Lily of Regal Films and her daughter Roselle Monteverde.

Mother Lily was quoted as saying “Angel Locsin should learn from Sharon Cuneta how to honor her commitments. She was one of my babies once. As her mother, I got hurt because she had a commitment with me to do three more movies. But still I let go of this issue because I want her to grow."

Angel, who was originally an exclusive GMA-7 contract star, still had a commitment with Regal to do three movies. A sudden decision to move to ABS-CBN in July 2007, however, disregarded her movie contract with Regal Films. Mano Po 6 would have been Angel’s seventh movie with the production company, had she taken the role.

And more fighting words from Mother Lily’s daughter Roselle Monteverde, “She is using us again on her press releases. Bakit niya kami bini-bring up sa issue? Hindi na kami naghahabol sa kanya. Stars come and go. The kind of artists who succeed are intelligent. Hindi lang oo nang oo sa mga katabi, kahit mali sunod lang nang sunod. Parang sponge."

Why is there a cat fight about who gets to play Sharon Cuneta’s movie in Mano Po the millionth sequel? Shouldn’t there be a protest against making another movie about a Chinese family? How many interesting Chinese family dynamics are there left to explore? And how many non-Chinese actors are they going to hire to utter Tagalog lines in a Chinese accent? Talk about awkward and unbelievable.

Mother Lily is constantly being referred to as the savior of the local film industry. I beg to disagree. Ginawa nyang bobo ang manonood ng pelikula by making all these commercial movies that follow the same formula. What a cop out.

Ruffa Gutierrez Changes Facebook Status from Single to It’s Complicated

It’s a veerrry slow day in local showbiz when something as mundane as a celebrity’s status on a social networking site is breaking news.

I guess it is really complicated if you are Ruffa Gutierrez.

She is not divorced from the indiscretion of her youth, her first husband who her mom called PG (patay gutom). She’s a second princess so she had a second husband. Is her second marriage null since technically she was still married when she married her second? If not, isn’t that called bigamy? Then, there’s John Lloyd Cruz, whom she played tourist guide for when they were (conveniently) at the same area at the same time.

There's one or two paparazzi shots of Ruffa Gutierrez and John Lloyd Cruz walking into a hotel and shopping floating around the Internets.

I don’t know what the big deal is with the Ruffa-John Lloyd romance. Her mommyger Anabelle Rama was initially against, even making a big fuss about on national TV. Since then, Anabelle has made a fast 360, faster than I can say “gimmick.”

Ano ba masama? John Lloyd is obviously on the rebound after breaking up with his stylist girlfriend and after getting shut down by Sarah Geronimo’s stage mother. Si Ruffa nagdadalaga for the second time and is available. The stars where aligned for them, so let them be.

It’s not Ruffa’s lovelife I’m interested in. Rather, I’m on a Ruffa cheeks and lips watch. I really love the Chipmunks movie, but I don’t know how I feel about chipmunk cheeks on a second princess. As for the lips, duck lips are flattering on a, ah, duck, but not on a second princess.

Who know who can benefit from a silicone injection or two on the lips? Jake Cuenca. Manipis ang nguso. He’s been tight-lipped ever since. He looks perpetually displeased about something, or he looks like he smelled something rotten that’s why he is displeased.

Speaking of Jake Cuenca, I read (in a tabloid, of course) Kim Chu got herself a boob job. With the kind of frame she has, big boobs, even medium-sized boobs, is pansinin. I have a friend. She’s tiny and she’s got 36Ds. Pansinin nga. LOL .. If true, about the boob job, I mean, then good luck to Kim Chu. I hope she doesn’t topple over.

DOJ Dismisses P25-M Libel Suit Filed By Richard Gutierrez Against PEP

Let's be real. Richard Gutierrez is perfection face-wise, pero bano umarte.

The Department of Justice has dismissed the P25 Million libel suit filed against PEP by actor Richard Gutierrez due to "lack of probable cause."

The libel suit against PEP, editor-in-chief Joan Maglipon, managing editor Karen Pagsolingan and staff writer Bong Godinez was originally filed at the Makati Regional Trial Court, but was later transferred to the DOJ.

The libel suit stemmed from a story that appeared on PEP, alleging that Richard Gutierrez had altercation with another actor, Michael Flores, during the birthday bash of director Mark Reyes in Mar 2009. Richard Gutierrez cried foul over reports that there was "gun-toting" involved.

But wait. Moneyger Anabelle Rama, Richard's Monster Mom, is not finished sticking pins in Jo-An Maglipon voodoo dolls. According to Anabelle,"hindi pa tapos ang laban."

Anabelle Rama's statement in full:

I believe Anabelle Rama. The case is far from over because from her statements above someone has grounds to file a libel case against her.

Anabelle runs her mouth off every time she’s interviewed. She’s fond of telling it’s just her being frank and truthful. Someone should tell her it’s her being arrogant and ill-mannered. Truth be told, she and her manners are not fit for society. She gets away with it because she has money, therefore there are many around her who are more than willing to kiss her ass.

Don't you just wish Zorro's horse could give Anabelle Rama a little kick in the head to make her realize that just because her family's production company is called Royal Era and Ruffa Gutierrez won second princess in the Ms World competition many moons ago, doesn’t mean they are royalty? It just means Anabelle is ilusyunada.

Sue-happy Anabelle Rama must be fuming mad because her grubby hands were thisclose to getting that P25 M and it was snatched away.

That millions of pesoses could have been put to good use by the Gutierrez family, like funding Richard Gutierrez’s acting lessons and supporting the freeloaders in that family.

Anabelle Rama is confident that “kakampi namin ang Diyos.” Really now. Don’t you think God has better things to do than take the side of a person who’s fond of taking His name in vain?

Blind Items: Your Guess Is As Good As Mine

Time for a new blind items courtesy of my favorite reading material, Bulgar!

My guess is Patrick Guzman? Former model-actor, namesake of the actor who is still not seeing eye to eye with his baby mama.

My guess is Assunta de Rossi. Rossi brand name and has a sister, Alessandra, who is also an actress.

Princess Violago Denies Sex Video With Hayden Kho

Is she transgendered? That adam’s apple is really bothering me for some reason.

Anyway... Princess Violago is one of those starlets rumored to be one of the numerous bed partners in the collection of sex videos of our ultimate porn actor Hayden Kho. Princess Violago is a newcomer who is trying to mould herself into the Paris Hilton of the Philippines. I hope she realizes what a vapid, waste of oxygen Paris Hilton is, and the butt of jokes of legitimate press in the USA, and try to steer clear of that image.

So why has Princess Violago resurfaced again. She has a part in the drama anthology Dear Friend in the episode “Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay,” starring Polo Ravales, Sunshine Cruz and Chyna Ortaleza.

Sigh. I used to get excited over the Polo and Sunshine loveteam. Apple pie, French fries, they used to call each other on the soap Ana Karenina. Sigh, those where the days. But I think they are really truly over each other, so the loveteam is just for TV now. I’m also questioning Polo’s taste in women these days.

Showbiz denizens should really hold a memorial service thanksgiving party for Hayden Kho because that scandal brought much-needed color to the local entertainment world. If a starlet wants to get talked about, just spread the rumor that you have a sex video with Hayden Kho.

Princess denied she’s joined Hayden Kho in one of his sexcapades. Turned out it was another Princess – Princess Velasco, the former girlfriend of…well, those of us who is following this never-ending sex video saga know who she is.

She said Hayden Kho is too old for her. He’s 29. She’s 21, but still too old for her. Spoken like a true heiress. Obviously, when choosing a mate age is a major factor for rich girls like Princess Violago.

After Princess Violago heard the rumor of her sex video, she immediately turned to the Internets to confirm it. Teka, why would she need to search online to verify this rumor? A. She has a sex video, but not with with Hayden Kho. She wanted to find out if it has been leaked online. B. She wanted to read about the rumors of her being linked to the sex video scandal. Yeah, me too. I think it’s A.

Katrina Halili Crying Watch: 100th Edition

Here we go again! Katrina Halili crying on national TV again while being interviewed by Pia Guanio on Showbiz Central last Sunday.

Katrina Halili and nemesis Dr Vicki Belo nearly crossed paths as they were both scheduled to do a live interview. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see what surely would have been a battle of eye rolls and side-eyes between the two.

Maybe you were hoping for a physical confrontation, hair-pulling at the very least. Not me. I’m a realist. The aftermath in the battle between Katrina and Vicki is not blood shed; it’s hundreds of pesos worth of silicone and plastics. In this economy, it’s not practical to waste that amount of investment.

While Vicki Belo is now palaban following all those ill-advised lawsuits that have been filed against her by Katrina, our accidental porn star continues to play the victim role.

Asked what her reaction is to Vicki Belo interview in which the doctor said she’s hurt by Katrina’s move to sue her and Belo Medical after she forgave the actress for her affair witj Hayden Kho,

“Sabi niya (Belo) wala nang lalabas. Sila rin naman yung hindi tumitigil. Nananahimik po ako. Sila yung nagbibigay ng clue, binigay nila yung pangalan ko. Sila naman yung nag-umpisa. Ngayon lang naman ako nagsalita,"

“Ayoko nang pag-usapan ito, tapos na po ‘yon. Nag-usap kami noong December. Maayos po yun. Di ko po sinabing naglalaro ako. Di ko dineny. Ayoko na po ipagtanggol yung sarili ko."

And her feelings for Dr Vicki Belo now? Katrina said with total feelings “Ayoko na pong pag-usapan kung ano po yung napag-usapan namin. Ayoko na po, tapos na po yun. Hindi ko po sinabing naglaro lang ako. Hindi ko po idinenay... Ayoko na pong ipagtanggol ang sarili ko!"

Poor wittle Katrina couldn’t even form a coherent sentence even after the topic to the positive impact of the scandal on her life. "Basta, masasabi ko lang... Ayoko na po...hindi ko alam...ang gulo po ng utak ko. Walang pumapasok sa utak ko. Kanina pa..."

And who’s giving her support? "Siyempre po yung pamilya ko, si God, yung mga taong nagmamahal sa akin. Hindi ko alam... Walang pumapasok sa kukote ko."

See, kaya walang pumapasok sa kukote ni Katrina kasi inglis ng inglish si Pia Guanio. HAHAHA Can’t they fire Pia Guanio on Showbiz Central and give her a lifestyle show or something?

Speak in the vernacular when your interviewee is struggling with emotions. Conversing in English is obviously taxing what little brain power Katrina had at that moment. Emotional anguish na mental torture pa. Ano ba?!

Seriously, Katrina is not ready to be interviewed. The people handling her career should be scheduling her for an appointment with a psychologist. At the risk of being accused of armchair psychologizing Katrina, she needs to get over the self-pity and the victim complex. That sex scandal is not bigger than you are. Meaning, isaksak mo sa kukote mo that the sex video doesn’t define who you are. Incidente lang sa buhay mo yan.

At yung sex video. How many people are still watching that boring shit? I watched that video once on fast forward. What saved that video was Hayden’s efforts. A for Effort! (Blech, did I just send kudos down Hayden’s way?) As they say once you’ve seen one tahong, you’ve seen them all.

Kimerald Fans Are Stupid

Kimerald fans went up in arms when they heard that Sharon Cuneta chose Angela Locsin to play her daughter in the millionth sequel to Mano Po. The reason was simply because Sharon Cuneta does not know Kim Chiu in person. Well, the Kimerald fans got insulted and in the process disrespected Sharon Cuneta while trying to defend their idol.

I’m not surprised if they alluded to Sharon Cuneta’s size. Fans can get personal and ugly as what I’ve witnessed so many times in the entertainment forums. Well, next to Kim Chiu, Sharon Cuneta is the Titanic. But, hello?! Megastar? They should have kept their mouth shut if they want Kim Chiu to work with Sharon Cuneta in the future. And when Kim Chiu meets Sharon Cuneta? How will she explain her fans’ action? Awkward.

Aside from attempting, and failing, to engage Sharon Cuneta (hello, Megastar?!) in a head-on collision, they also have this stupid penchant for insulting young female stars who are being groomed as a possible partner to Gerald Anderson. There was Erich Gonzales, whom they called a starlet. Then there was Sarah Geronimo. I’d rather watch paint dry than watch Sarah Geronimo, but gurl’s box-office track record is out there.

I read the Kimerald fans will be petitioning the powers that be of ABS-CBN and Star Cinema not to break up the Kimerald loveteam. Have the fans considered just watching the past movies, commercials and teleserye of their idol? Why clamor for a new movie for Kimerald when watching one of their movies is like watching all of their movies? Nag-iba lang ang title at mga co-stars. Anyway, let’s see if ABS-CBN heeds the request of a handful of Kimerald fans over the possibility of raking in millions from a Sarah Geronimo starrer.

Speaking of commercials, anyone find Kim Chiu a ridiculous choice for an endorser of feminine products? Again to Kimerald fans, bow down to Sharon Cuneta for she, or rather her figure, is a testament to the truth that she eats what she endorses.

Watching Kim Chiu endorsing Modess and ph care (?) is uncomfortable. They say the camera adds 10 pounds to your body weight on screen. If Kim Chiu, on screen, looks like she can give Olive Oyl a run for her money, imagine how the girl looks in IRL. As anorexic looking as she is, gurl looks like she has not been visited by Aunt Flo in months. So is she believable as a Modess endorser? Please someone tell Kim Chiu there is no nutritional value from licking dew off grass for sustenance.

And that feminine wash commercial. How stupid is the concept of a feminine wash giving a girl confidence to climb her boyfriend’s neck. Ewe. Even monkeys don’t do that to their significant other. And I refuse to get into the implication that Gerald Anderson can smell Kim Chiu clinging on his neck, and it’s ‘fresh.” Ewe.

I’m curious lang but why the unimaginative name Kimerald? I know it’s the combination of Kim and Gerald? But every time I hear or read that name, I always remind myself that it’s a stupid fans base name, not a low-carat precious stone. And don’t get me started on Dongyan. Is it a newly discovered ancient ruin or food manufacturer in China?

Dennis Trillo and Cristine Reyes Break Up, Finally?

Undercover lovers Dennis Trillo and Cristine Reyes revealed that they have broken up. Dennis, promoting his indie film Astig, said that his relationship with Ara Mina's mentally unstable sister Cristine Reyes ended in May. According to Cristine, FHM Philippines' 2009 Sexiest Woman, the break up is very recent, not even one month old.

Both lied about the relationship and now they are giving different breakup dates. I don't mind they have lied to the public. I even advocate the necessity of lying, sometimes. But please get your lies straight.

This relationship on the down low, I thought was doomed from the very beginning because the public will not buy their love affair. Even the powers that be of the entertainment industry won't because their tandem cannot be translated to profits. Why? Because Dennis Trillo is being groomed as an actor of the leading man variety. He's supposed to be unattached to keep the illusion of him falling in love with his leading lady.

As for Cristine Reyes, her on-screen and off-screen persona is very unsympathetic. She's supposed to play the kontrabida to Dennis Trillo's leading lady, not the secret lover of the leading man. In short, hinde bagay.

I'm glad for Dennis Trillo that he finally unloaded that baggage, Cristine. Let's admit it, Cristine sucked the hotness out of Dennis Trillo. There was a time Dennis Trillo made me kilig. He lost major hotness points from me with that paternity mess with Carlene Aguilar and then that clandestine romance with Cristine Reyes. If many fans are of the same mind as I do, then that would explain why Dennis Trillo is nearing the end of his 15 minutes of fame.

Cristine has always been nega. She's only in the news because there are suckers who voted for her in FHM's list of sexiest women and because she's in-between employers. I hope she ends up on Channel 5 or 13. Who wants to hire an entitled princess? I have no doubt she's always been called special by her family, thus, the immaturity and attitude towards employers and co-workers. She's a special needs princess.
